ISODS Honored Professorships
Nguyet (Moon) Nguyen, ISODS Honored Associate Professor
Dr. Nguyet (Moon) Nguyen received her Bachelor of Mathematical Education in 1998 and Master of Mathematics and Science in 2002 at Hanoi International University of Education in Vietnam. She taught mathematics at Nguyen Tat Thanh high school in Hanoi for eight years before moving to America. Dr. Nguyen earned a Master and PhD degree of financial mathematics at Florida State University in 2011 and 2014, respectively. She has been teaching mathematics at Youngstown State University since 2014.
Dr. Nguyen was promoted to associate professor in 2020. Her research interests are using financial models to solve real-life problems such as predict stock prices, forecast weather, and invest in stock market.

Loan T. T. Nguyen, ISODS Honored Associate Professor
From October 2016 to September 2017, she has been an ERCIM postdoctoral researcher at University of Warsaw, Poland. She has been a visiting researcher at NTNU, Norway from March 5 to March 19, 2017.
Her research interests include association rules, classification, mining in incremental databases. She is currently a Regional Editor of International Journal of Intelligent Information and Database Systems. She has published 46 research papers in international journals and conferences.

Lan Vu, ISODS Honored Associate Professor
With training background as Medical Doctor and then completed MSc and PhD in Epidemiology, Lan Vu has more than 20 years working experiences in the field of quantitative research. Currently, she is Associate Professor and Head, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics as well as Chair, Faculty of Fundamental Sciences at Hanoi University of Public Health. Her main research interests are e-health, advanced statistical modelling, Non-communicable diseases, and machine learning. She has collaborated with diversified public health national/international organizations in multiple projects and consultant works. She has more than 40 peer-reviewed publications in international journals and her works were also presented in multiple technical reports/conference presentation and technical textbooks.

Bao Pham, ISODS Honored Associate Professor
Dr. Bao Pham received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2009 from University of Science, Vietnam. He received a MS 200 and BS in 1995. He has been a Professor in Department of Computer Science, and Dean of Information Science Faculty, Sai Gon University since 2019. He was a Lecturer and Professor in Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Mathematics & Computer Science, University of Science from 1995 to 2018, and Vice Dean Faculty of Mathematics & Computer Science and Head of Computer Science Department, University of Science, Vietnam from 2007 to 2016.

While working towards his Ph.D. in Economics, he spent his spare time learning and teaching machine learning algorithms. He knows economic research is developing fast in the era of big data, and it is essential expand his professional skillset.
