The 3rd Annual International Competition in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence has reached the finish line. There are 142 teams that participated in 4 different tracks including Structured Data, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Statistical Data Science. We thank the hard work of all the committee members, especially the ones who were directly involved in setting up the problem sets, communicating with competitors, and grading. We thank Addison Howard at Kaggle and Laurie White at Google for their support, and the authors of the datasets for their contributions.

The exams include 14 exams toward three designations of the Society (Associated Master, Fellow Master, and Grandmaster).

The competition is for university students with interests in Data Science and AI at all levels (undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D), to be hosted on Kaggle platform in several tracks, such as Computer Vision, NLP, and structured data tentatively.

As usual, it is time this year ISODS (The International Society of Data Scientists) announces the selected individual for the title "The Most Influential Young Data Scientist of the Year 2021" - Alex Wang, from Australia. Alex received an MEng in Data Science from the University of Sydney, and an MIT from University of Technology Sydney, and BS from Tianjin University of Technology. She has been in various Data Science roles in the industry. Alex has been actively sharing her learning experience to her network on Linkedin via her profile.
The International Society of Data Scientists has been taking the first step in standardizing the foundations for Data Science and AI professions. We started working with ACTEX on preparing Data Science study materials for Data Science professional exams. The Professional Exam Committee was established to advise related activities.
